Appointment Cancellations
This office does not charge for missed appointments. However, failing to show up for an appointment without notifying our office will result in your missed appointment being recorded as a “no show”. It is the policy of this office not to schedule patients who have two recorded “no show” appointments.
Worker's Compensation
NewView Laser Eye welcomes patient's who have been injured on the job and are covered by worker's compensation. To avoid paying for visit at time of service, patient must have the following information:
- Company Name
- Company Responsible for Payment (if different than above)
- Date of Injury
- Claim Number
- Human Resource Contact Name
- Human Resource Phone Number
- Human Resource Fax Number

Contact Lens Fittings and Exams
A contact lens fitting requires a comprehensive eye exam to determine if you are a candidate for contact lens wear. Considerations include not only your prescription, but also a measurement of corneal curvature and a health assessment of the eye. A wide variety of contact lenses are available including astigmatic, bifocal, rigid gases permeable, extended wear, and cosmetic colored contacts.
Prescription Refills
Please allow 24 hours notice for prescription refills. You may have your pharmacist either fax your request or call our office. Some medications require pre-authorization through your insurance company and special forms. Please have your insurance company fax those forms so that we can submit them for you within 3-5 working days. Prescription refills cannot be given for new eye problems without being diagnosed by the doctor.
Insurance Coverage
Your insurance coverage is an agreement between you and your insurance company. We accept most insurance plans. Current insurance information and correct addresses are imperative for prompt claim reimbursement. Co-pays are due at the time of the visit. Most insurances do not pay for refractions, (measurement for glass prescriptions). You may be required to pay additional fees for this service at the time of your visit. Affordable Financing for Procedures
We offer financing for elective procedures through Care Credit. It is simple to apply for the financing either on-line or by phone. We would be glad to assist you in obtaining financing.
Privileges
Dr. Griffiths has hospital privileges at Reston Ambulatory Surgery Center, Reston Hospital Center, Countryside Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Seminars
Dr. Griffiths donates her time to provide educational seminars to the community to heighten awareness for early detection of eye disease. She lectures on the “Aging Eye” and Eye Safety to local businesses and community centers. She also provides noon time seminars at local companies on the latest in refractive surgery options.
