Laser Vision Correction is an outpatient procedure performed at NewView Laser Eye, Inc. The actual laser time is usually less than a minute and most patients are in and out of the surgery center in 15 minutes. The procedure itself is painless and patients are not put to sleep during the procedure. Very strong anesthetic eye drops are given about a half hour before and again immediately before the surgeon begins. Generally, most patients are quite comfortable within a very short time after Lasik and return to work the next day. Laser Vision Correction is very safe and the degree of risk is low.
